It is important to bring in your mortgage loan professional as soon as possible — even before you have started to consider neighborhoods. What for? If you don't yet know how much home you want to qualify for, how could we help?
We Can Help You Pre-Qualify
We can help determine how much of a mortgage loan you can afford, and the amount of money you may be able to borrow, by taking you through the pre-approval process. During this process, we explore your borrowing potential - analyzing your employment, money available for down payment, debt, income, and other circumstances. We require a minimum amount of paperwork, with a quick process.
After you are determined to be eligible, we prove our confidence in your potential to qualify for a loan by presenting you with a Pre-Approval Letter (sometimes known as a "pre-qual" letter).
When you locate the house that is right for you, and you want to put together an offer, being pre-approved for a loan will do several things. The first is that you can be sure what you'll be able to afford when putting together your offer. Even more important to the seller, your pre-approval status gives them confidence - as if you'd come into their home with a suitcase of cash to make the offer! They won't need to be concerned that they're wasting their time if you will not have the ability to qualify for a big enough mortgage. You have the capability to back your offer up.
We help with your pre-approval
When we pre-approve you, we help you find out how much of a monthly mortgage payment you can afford, and the size of loan you will qualify for. We can do this by analyzing your debts and income, your employment and housing circumstances, the funds available for down payment, required reserves, and some other things. It's a short, thorough process with minimal risks for papercuts.
